During his business trip to the USA, Raphael Thies also stopped at the Husker AG ethanol plant in Plainview, Nebraska. Many thanks to Bill Steffen, plant manager of the Husker AG, for an impressive plant tour. It was great to learn more about the challenging operation of an ethanol plant and discuss the potential and benefits of biogas production from stillage. Replacing fossil fuels and reducing the carbon intensity of ethanol plants is a key element for the future of this important renewable fuel.
